Which card would you rather own...(Mantle/Jordan)

52 Mantle PSA 1 or
86 Jordan PSA 9

This is a decision I’ve been thinking over. Today the Mick is worth more, who knows what the future holds.

The Mick would we a very messy looking card; the Jordan would be mint. Both are iconic but the Mick - even in a 1 - is pretty rare (only 273 graded a 1).

    Mick all day provided the PSA 1 wasn't too messy.

    Maybe you could score one which was pasted into an album and the back was nasty but the front was nice. Maybe you get one that is scuffed and has a little paper loss bringing it down to poor.

    If it is a messy Mick, I am taking the Mint Jordan and riding it for another generation or two before it eclipses the Mantle.

    Hands down, the Mick. I’ll take vintage and rarity over modern and high-grade any day. Also, just my 2 cents because I collect rookie cards, but I’d go with the ‘51 Bowman Mantle over the ‘52 Topps. That would allow you to buy less of a beater, too.
