The unanimous votes say a lot, imo.

the Joe Thomas selection probably infuriates a lot of Cleveland fans, they never really appreciated how good he was. instead, they chose to focus on any time he had a holding penalty or something negative happened on his side of the field. the guy played what is arguably the hardest position on offense with some pretty bad Teams and was consistently held up by Teammates, opponents and Coaches as one of the best.

fans are funny like that, they really only see what happens at the point of where the ball is.

JT should make the HOF on the first ballot, another thing that will aggravate a lot of Cleveland fans who truly didn't/don't like the guy. I actually met him after his rookie season, he had a meet-and-greet at the Sport, Travel and Outdoor Show and he looked like, well, an average Joe, just another guy who was there to check out boats, guns and fishing rods. of course he was sitting down so I couldn't judge his real size. the one thing I could see besides his arms, that muscle group that goes from the shoulders up the neck to a persons head!! the guy was a physical specimen like most NFL players.

I was surprised to see Mankins there at Guard. He had three straight second team All-Pro seasons from 2011-13 then got dealt to TB,had one more Pro Bowl season in 2015 then retired. He made the All Decade team when he only played half of a decade which sounds odd.

Can't really argue with to many on that list. Was a little surprised that Trent Williams and Terrell Suggs weren't on it.

I am surprised to hear you say many Cleveland fans didn't appreciate him. He is the epitome of consistent excellence, physically and mentally, plus loyalty to a team.

I can say for sure that Zack Martin is incredible. Watching him here in Dallas, I wish he was a Patriot. He dominates.

Looking at the list and thinking about snubs is fun. It is hard to argue, but I will find a few. To start, I would put Witten over Kelce. I know Witten gets less love outside Dallas, but they guy was so good. HIs numbers are better than Kelce, but also his blocking, professionalism, never missing time, etc are all very exceptional.

I think they could have found a place for Talib.

Agreed. He was the only Olineman that I've ever wanted BB to trade up for in the draft. Never happened and we end up with Dominique Easley instead. :#

The Oline here in Dallas had that couple of years of awe inspiring dominance. Travis Frederick will be missed. Last year he was not the same guy, glad he is retiring for his own good. But the combination of him, Martin, and Smith was great. Tyron Smith has been superb, and it stinks that his back problems have rendered him less than he was. Tyron Smith is just a wall of muscle - no old school lineman fat on this guy.

I just looked at articles about snubs - lots of opinions. I keep seeing that Brees should have been over Rodgers. I sort of agree. I think Rodgers is not a leader, underachiever, too often injured, uncoachable....... He is the opposite of TB.

probably not as surprised as I was whenever someone would start to complain about him. the guy was a stud, I think he started 200+ straight games, just incredible for that position.

Pretty close call. I like Brees a little better.

It's really not even close at all, stats for the decade ...

    All Pro selections
    Brees 10
    Rodgers 7 (2 First Team)

Name Comp Att Comp% Yds TD
    Brees 4173 5997 69.6 46770 345 (missed 7 games in the decade)
    Rodgers 3187 4925 64.7 38145 305 (missed 18 games in the decade)

So nearly 1k more completions, nearly 5% better completion %, 8600+ more yards, 40 more TDs

Agree that if just looking at stats, it's not that close. I do give Rodgers an edge in mobility.

Bottom line for me, both great, Brees the better of the two.
