Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
@Justacommeman - you never cease to amaze.
You probably speak jive, too.
My current "Box of 20"
Velly intellesting! Does the style and order of the characters mean it's authentic? Peace Roy

The Chinese fake these just like the silver coins. Even have pure silver ones and charge authentic prices for them. It can be very difficult to find authentic pieces even museums in China have been duped at time with these. The silver coins tend to have more information out there for authentication than the silver bars. I think the look of the silver is off. Did they mention it was a sea salvage bar? I only ask because I have one bar from HK (1920-1940's) and it had a lot better luster and appeal than that. Even the sea salvage sycee I have seen at auction (HA) seemed to have a different color.
The seller out of blue text me the above bar asking $600 for it. No additional info other than it was an 1100 gram bar, was provided. So I passed on the deal.
Sometimes you have to let them go with bad pictures and bad/lack of information. I wouldn't let phase me. Usually with Chinese coins and items I only feel secure on people I have done business with that their items have been proven and then I still verify.
I bought a Chinese Silver Bar on ebay years ago. I was scrolling through ending listings and here was this bar with a starting bid of 99 cents from a Chinese seller. I knew it was most likely fake but thought it would make a kewl paperweight! I won it for 99 cents and then had an oh sh*t moment. The shipping charge was $69.00! Being the play by the rules type I went ahead and paid.
6 weeks later it finally shows up in a Styrofoam box with a hole in the side taped up. It had obviously been inspected by customs I assume. It also did cost him around what he charged for shipping.
To make a long story short, It probably was fake...but it had 12 ounces of silver in it and I sold it for a tidy profit! The poor seller was Narued before I could give him feedback.
