Need help with a NJ copper Variety

I am having a hard time matching this NJ copper to a variety in which I have a picture of, it resembles a pattern shield, but not sure. Its not the best in the world, kind of rough, but if it were one of the rare varities, could be worth something ?
thanks

If it's one of the rare ones, it could still be worth a lot. It could still be in the Condition Census. Some of the rare ones only come in dog(-) grades. Wait for one of the specialists to chime in.
The variety is Maris 6-D. It is a more common variety. You were right to say it’s similar to the “pattern shield” as the Maris 6 obverse is known with the C reverse as well which is the pattern shield.
An interesting thing about Maris 6 obverse is that it’s the only NJ with those unique style horse ears. Actually the ears are in the shape of the letter M, which most likely was from Walter Mould (who struck this coin in Morristown NJ) putting his “name” on the die. More famously he also did this with the unique Maris 62 1/2-r which features the initials WM under the horse head.
Thks a bunch NER
