Will Topps ever release another Boxing set?

The last time Topps released a legitimate collection of boxing cards was in 1951 through the Topps Ringside collection, but the closest since then was the 2008 Topps Co-Signer cards that were found in baseball boxes. Given the boom in boxing as of late do you believe that Topps'll release a boxing box?
More so now that Panini has obtained the NBA rights to cards.
What do you think?

Unlikely at best. I think it's the same issue that Upper Deck/Leaf had with golf, there's no single entity to negotiate with and you have to get contracts with each individual. It's more of a pain than dealing with a players association, the individuals want much more than can be negotiated otherwise, and it's a product that will sell far less than one of the big 4 sports.
You're right, but I felt rather optimistic with the various Tyson Fury sets they released during February, but I do understand what you're saying ~
The 2010 and 2011 ringside boxing sets were pretty decent. Those sets were made up of boxers from the past like Louis, Ali, Holyfield, etc. but at least it was something for boxing card collectors to enjoy. I wish boxing cards were still produced, but like Larkin said, it's very complicated and I doubt it will happen either.
The 2010 Ringside boxing set was just a beast of a set, with parallel inserts, autograph cards, cut signature cards, Turkey Red cards, memorbilia cards, serial numbered cards, you name it.
The cards with red color were base cards, the cards with gold color were serial numbered to 10, and the cards with black color were 1 of 1 cards. The cut signature cards were 1 of 1 cards as well. It's just a beast of a set. If anyone wants information on the set, "Sports Card Radio" has an excellent write up on the set on their website, so just google 2010 Ringside boxing and you'll see their website and the link to their website will pop up with the write up on this set.
I don't think those are Topps, simply another version of Ringside from another company, HOWEVER John L Sullivan autograph is just on a whole other level - stunningly remarkable!
If Topps can negotiate with the likes of Mayweather, McGregor, Canelo, Fury, Manny etc - I feel that such a thing may still be possible, especially if they go to the various boards such as the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF. I believe the litmus test will be if EA Sports develops a new Fight Night game ~
Yeah, that Sullivan auto is just unbelievable. You're right, those cards aren't Topps, they are produced by SportKings I think. I hope Topps can someday make it happen, we need something new on the market to collect.
You're absolutely right! But Topps would command a premium too, as well as them being far more credible with PSA than most other cards - more so due to its 82 year history; Topps did some special signature cuts in 2005, 2016 and 2018:
Those Topps signature cuts are awesome! Leaf and Allen and Ginter have produced some boxing cards in the last decade as well.
That's why I can't understand how Topp's subsidiary via Allen and Ginter can't produce a box ~ Contacting the four main boxing organisations, or even the boxing license commissions is the way to solve all the issue that @LarkinCollector brought up ~
Yes, and it's a shame because they produce a high quality product and also include variations and printing plate cards as well.
I am a big fan of boxing cards and once had a set of 48 leaf boxing sets.
If they do cards of the pre 80 boxers that would be great.
If there were dollars to make I suspect boxing cards would still be among us every year...
True, but the fact they've made two Tyson Fury boxes within the space of two-months is VERY promising.
No doubt.... you have to have a heavy weight division that is active....
The heavyweight division is definately active. I was watching the promo for the upcoming Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller fight, and it got pretty nasty when Miller shoved Joshua. There's bad blood brewing between these two, and I love every second of it. As we know, Joshua is the IBF heavyweight champion, and Jarrell Miller is unbeaten, so I'm licking my chops for this one.
Boxing!

I have that Joshua card ^_^
I love that design Panini made for that Olympic set!
Got any 48 leafs left? 11 to go in my set.
No, unfortunately I traded to a collector for some 34 goudeys which I regret as I was not
able to complete the set and ended up selling the poetical Goudey set.
No.
Have faith lol
