FINDING QUALITY BULK WORLD COINS

Hello. Getting back into my World Coin collection during the pandemic. I have about 5000 cataloged pieces and want to find QUALITY bulk to dig through. Does anyone have a tip or site that offers more than the usual? Thanks

Many coin shops have buckets full of foreign (usually with any silver coins pulled out). They often sell them by the pound.
Quality is in the mind of the beholder in the case of this kind of material.

  • Thanks! That's how I got 90% of my collection back in the day. Just so much common crap and redundancies; I was hoping for another resource that you trust, perhaps online. This is my 1st day on this site. I appreciate you taking the time to help a newbie.

Sorry, but I know of no online sites. Shipping costs would greatly increase your expense. That is why buying this type of thing from dealers is best done in person.

This type of collecting is a treasure hunt but always expect most of the coins in the lot to be essentially worthless junk. It is just the way it is.

There is one guy on this site who may be able to help: jdmern ebay = https://www.ebay.com/str/jdmern

Justin is a friend of mine and he literally has tons of this stuff. He may even be able to tailor fit a specific country or continent for you. Make sure your private messages (PM) are turned on.

Actually you just need to buy a large lot of 25-50 pounds that can be mailed priority flat rate!

I remember there was a company that sells foreign coins by the bulk that was collected and rejected from bus transit. May want to check your local government listing.
