Is someone interested in this item?
It is an Appreciation Medal handed over by Dwight D. Eisenhower to meritorious Persons during his travel to Europe in 1959.
Silver, 30.2 mm, 15.20 g. No paper documents available, just the medal as shown by the pictures.
As far as I know, only 500 were struck by US mint. Price should be in the range of 500 Dollars and the transaction could be done once the crisis is ended.

My wife's grandfather has a CASE pocket knife he was given by Eisenhower, for helping protect/guard him while he was recovering in a hospital. Engraved and everything.
Cool! IS there edge lettering? Here is some info:
WIKI.... During his second term as president, Eisenhower distinctively preserved his presidential gratitude by awarding individuals a special memento. This memento was a series of specially designed U.S. Mint presidential appreciation medals. Eisenhower presented the medal as an expression of his appreciation and the medal is a keepsake reminder for the recipient.[277]
The development of the appreciation medals was initiated by the White House and executed by the United States Mint, through the Philadelphia Mint. The medals were struck from September 1958 through October 1960. A total of twenty designs are cataloged with a total mintage of 9,858. Each of the designs incorporates the text "with appreciation" or "with personal and official gratitude" accompanied with Eisenhower's initials "D.D.E." or facsimile signature. The design also incorporates location, date, and/or significant event. Prior to the end of his second term as president, 1,451 medals were turned in to the Bureau of the Mint and destroyed.[277] The Eisenhower appreciation medals are part of the Presidential Medal of Appreciation Award Medal Series.
There is no edge lettering.
