A quick update to those interested...I sold another "Martha" in last month's Regency Auction #43. 344 lots of coins and "others". My lot was the last, #344. The hammer price was $3,800.00. With buyers "tariff" added on the "price realized" for the auction house was $4,465.00. Nice commission.
This pattern coin had a VERY noticeable carbon spot on Martha's forehead. I am sure this affected the desirability of owning to many buyers.
So, we now have a contract on our home after almost two years on the market. Perhaps I might find something as valuable, enlightening, and interesting as my find of the Marthas. I will be very busy cleaning and purging the next two months getting ready for the movers.

Thx for the update. Pls keep them coming. Yours has been one of the best stories I've seen on the forum.
Good luck!
BTW, I am very happy you took this route - different venues over time.
legend does do classics primarily, but I was surprised they would not take this "pattern" the first time.

Thx for the update. Congrats on the move. Pls keep us updated on any future auctions.
It's nice that Legend took this but they do not come to mind as the best venue for this. Fingers crossed!
Good luck!
