Yes, D/C's are a mainstay of IDing my collecting niche ... Canada Victoria bronze large cents, specifically the 1858's & 59's. Vicky large cents are the same diameter as British half pennies, but 1/3 thinner. The early Canada large cents were struck at the London and Heaton mints with the same presses as the copper, thicker half pennies and with a very intricate Reverse design. As such, the dies took a beating by striking much thinner bronze planchets, with some dies (especially the Reverse) only lasting 1000 strikes or less before breaking entirely. It's hard to find a mid-19th century Canada cent without cracks somewhere.
