Tony Romo re-signs with CBS

doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

It has been repoted that Tony Romo has signed a contract with CBS that is going to net him $17 million per season, and the contract is for more than 5 seasons, making him the highest paid TV analyst in history. Who needs to play football, when you can watch it. What a pie job, you get to watch and talk about the game you love, and get filthy rich doing it. A big, fat, juicy chocolate pie job.

You should change the title to 'as Cowboys QB' to get Dime's head to explode.

Not bad, a mil per game.
I like his style, I enjoy his commentary and analysis of plays. He doesn't go on and on with nonsense.

Not suprised they made him such an offer

I would choose to watch one game versus another just because Romo is doing commentary. Extrapolate that out to all viewers, and it makes sense why they signed him.

Anything to keep him "off" the field!!!

Good signing. His excitable and aggressive announcing/commentary even brings the low key Jim Nance out of his shell.

Successful transactions:Tookybandit. "Everyone is equal, some are more equal than others".

He's quickly become arguably the best analyst in the game. Probably better than Prescott still, too.

He NEVER was as good as Prescott!! Dak will only get better and will probably get a ring or two!

You have to get past the first round to win a ring.

Do you even watch football? LOL..

I must admit some analysts are just boring. A Golden Girls chia pet could do just as good a job calling games.

Without Zeke, Prescott is average at best. You saw that when Zeke was out year before last.

It helps any QB to have a back like Zeke, Before I get to high on the Cowboys and their new coaches....I want to see how 2020 pans out. ;)

clearly i'm in the minority, but i'm a tepid (at best) Romo-in-the-booth fan. his dorkiness weighs heavily on me, and i personally think his play-call prediction prowess is one of the most overrated aspects of his shtick. let's see........the dude is an ex-qb from this generation, he has access to All-22 film, access to team practices the week of, access to players by way of interviews............well no sh*t he has an idea of what's coming. i'd be far more alarmed if he didn't have the slightest.

i personally think P Manning would be a rock star as an analyst

No way you could drag him away from all the Papa John's and Nationwide paychecks though.

Peyton would never leave his Nationwide country band. He's a huge country music superstar now. Garth who?

    I like Chris Collinsworth better.
