1962 Topps Stamps edge variations

Most of the 1962 Topps Stamps I've run across feature perforation on all four edges. However, here's a PSA-graded example that appears to have been issued in coil form. Does anyone know if these stamps were issued in both sheet and coil forms (which would go a long way in explaining the apparent variation)?

I'd agree with your assessment that this would be consistent with being issued in coil form. Perhaps that they tested coil dispensed stamps and figured the sheet issued stamps were easier to manage/cheaper? Coil stamps would have eliminated many of the production problems (centering & miscuts) that seem to be pretty common with this issue. Just guessing but they probably would have tended to not lay flat or separated more easily which slowed things down, so they went with the sheets.
