I don't know, but it's like a little ritual. The Alexa 'thrash metal' station is blasting, a vanilla candle is burning, got the smorgasbord of stuff sorted in similar stacks, Carolyne is WAY pissed off I have beer and cards AGAIN (but I don't care today), especially due to taking over the dining area, she's held up in her she-shed room now, and am about to commence on the one card at a time backview pickup slow roll over with thumb covering grade to be slowly slid back to reveal the grades, and then check either pop report or registry to gauge whether the card lives or unfortunately gets smashed with a sledge hammer in the side yard.

    All fun . That's all :)

The Trout 6 scratch off card is a bad sign.

I am the worst ever. I now know this. At least with the first four.

Great Googly Moogly. Do different sports get sent around to different graders ? It's like a pattern in this early stage. PDs everywhere ? Well. guess it could be specific sets have specific flaws, which the grading abides by. I'd pay 100 bucks for the sacred 'set known flaws' book used :) 110 bucks even.

    How does the '52s look?

  • HorseHorse Posts: 675 ✭✭✭✭

You might be seeing 2001 heritage there. I wish I had 1952's in this !!

Slowly more but today is not a beer today so things could be on hold. Cards and beverages go together for me :) .

The Whirly 8 and Drag On 9 are good hits.

Well, got a couple at least for the collection. This set, as with the bulk of anything common from 1975 on, is basically a 10 or a bust. Got Slaughtered and I really looked close at these mofo's when choosing which ones to send in. Yes. I suck.

Those are some great '82s!! Where did you pull them from? Rack/Cello/Wax?

Sucks that Topps flipped the back of that horizontal Fisk IA card... PSA had to slab it upside down. I've seen them slabbed right side up, but then the back is upside down in the slab.

    Nice poppage!

The 82's were from vending. Yep, I swear. They came from a BBCE FASC vending box.

The two Ripkens were a different story :(

WOW, I didn't list vending because I know how unlikely it was. Congrats!
