One has to wonder how so much money could be owed to the Dodgers in order to send Betts and Price to the West Coast.
Shades of El Sapo Grande, aka Pablo Sandoval stuff.

Can't help but wonder if the Dodgers won the world series if they would've gone after Betts.
In 2017, the Dodgers did win the World Series.
2018 is what I meant.
From Boston Sports Info:
Red Sox will spend $50,409,418 in CASH for players that will not or are highly unlikely to bat or throw a pitch in Boston this year
David Price - $16,000,000
Rusney Castillo - $14,271,428
Dustin Pedroia - $13,125,000
Pablo Sandoval - $5,000,000
Manny Ramirez - $2,013,418
Gross is the only word that describes this
You have to include part of Betts salary in that too as they are aLSO PAYING THE DODGERS TO TAKE HIM Away. I believe his part of it is around 16 million.
don't they still owe antonio brown 10 million ? Or was that some other financial wizard?
did y'all hear the press conference ? it was embarrasing ,
don't forget them resigning chris sale when they didn't need to
That would be a Patriot's thing.
the patriots are dumber than the sox , even the sox wouldn't pay ocho cinco 5 million
Bruce Sutter was no slouch either. Read about the deal he made with the Braves way back when. Google Bruce Sutter deal.
Or Bobby Bonilla.
luxury tax works, this is evidence. Whatever "works" means to MLB.
That's 75 million the Sox will not pay. They need a two year reset, surprised they are sort of trying to keep a decent team together (if we don't count pitching )
This is the first name that came to mind for me. That guy signed the best contract ever
