    <<< Parasite +173 >>>

First non-English language film to win a Best Picture Oscar going off at such low odds?

I'd say someone who knew for sure, told others to put a few dollars on this one.

Of course the bookies only allow very limited action on these type of bets, when at least someone for sure knows the outcome in advance.

Only movie I saw was the Irishman. Liked it a lot.

I'm Irish on my Mom's side. Her mother's maiden name was the same as the main character but with one letter different in the spelling. Any relation? Maybe. Anyway, great movie imo.

In 2006 there was imo only one picture for best movie. Brokeback Mountain .

    I bet early at 3:1. Couldn't lose.

It lost, and I never bet the Oscars again. :#

I've never wagered on any movie. But years ago i made a call of a long shot choice Chariots of Fire to win. I'm not sure if a single movie pundit picked it.

Frame by frame it's not the most perfect movie. The editing, acting, etc is a bit erratic at times. But overall it's a great movie and deserved the Best Picture Oscar in my opinion.
