just learned something new about the card shop here

this dudes pretty cool, he has a thing called pack wars every few months, and it's pretty cool. 20 rounds where you buy packs of cards for a bit cheaper than retail, and he calls out a stat(say most rebounds) lets say you have the card with the most rebounds and everything you get a prize ranging from sets to memorabilia. Then you get a ticket for a raffle and the raffle is for a case of cards, like a display case full of cards. Its pretty cool, someone got a jerry rice jersey card and its just wow, just thought id share with yas

    I have been playing this game since the early 90's. The way we play it is the same but instead of the shop giving you a raffle ticket we did this. Say you had 10 people all playing. Who ever had the pack with the winning stat would win all the packs opened for that hand of play. We would do this every Friday night at the local shop. Have fun

    You are all very lucky to have shop owners like that.We only have 3
    card shops in town here;2 of them are hooked up together to keep the prices jacked way high & the 3rd guy is a real jerk also.
    We haven't bought anything from any of them except supplies.
    Pretty sad when you think about it;they could be doing so much more business if only they were a little more generous.
