Sometimes cents like this are called woodies because of the woodgrained look. This is due to some minor variations in the alloy. Some people collect these but it really doesn't have much if any premium, especially in worn condition.

Alloy mix flaws can be very interesting to look at. Save one as an example of a minor error. IMO. Peace Roy
