Prepaid phonecards

Have these fallen totally off the radar? They had been accepted as a Numismatic at one time. Anyone here that still or used to collect them? Any reason they at minimum would not qualify as a trading card, at least the ones that came in trading card packs?

Some are quite collectible, many are not. The most popular are the ones that a) came in trading card packs for player collectors and b) that PSA grades. The Japanese ones are one of my collecting focuses (and can be quite pricey compared to the US issued ones), but there doesn't seem to be any guide to track what year(s) specific ones were issued to be able to get them recognized for grading.

There is no money in grading most of them. Back in the day there was a lot of information being collected and shared. I will try and dig up some of my Japanese ones and post pics.

I have many Score cards, they produced a majority of the US sports related cards I believe as well as Coca Cola.

I found I actually have many Finish Line and Classic Assets prepaid phonecards. Score produced Coca Cola and other subjects. I guess I need to go into my storage and verify what I have. Maybe I have cards from the early to mid 90s that have some value? I was involved with the older Compuserve Collectibles Forum and collected multiple sports cards. I would put them in sleeves. I have books of Disney cards, in archive sleeves, they are probably not worth anything but would be something to give to my grandkids.
