Lino Lacedelli, and Achille Compagnoni were the first two humans to ever summit K2, the worlds most dangerous and deadly mountain. Here they are seen atop K2, the savage mountain.
Sir Edmund Hillary, and Tenzing Norgay were the first humans to ever reach the summit of Mt. Everest, the world's highest mountain. Sir Edmund Hillary snapped this photo on the summit of his climbing partner Tenzing Norgay. You'll note the oxygen mask on Tenzing Norgay's face. When climbing at this altitude, most people use supplemental oxygen because anything above 24,000 ft is known as the "death zone" because with less oxygen to breathe, the brain and the body start to slowly kill itself due to being starved of oxygen.
"Ice" and "Homes" on a mission to seek and destroy enemy quarterbacks, 4 yards behind enemy lines. Derrick Thomas' father was a pilot killed during a mission in Vietnam. I believe a portion of the sales of this poster went to a veteran's charity.
The San Diego Chicken, a.k.a The Famous Chicken, was "hatched" before a Padres game in the 70s, co-starred with Johnny Bench on The Baseball Bunch in the 80s, met Presidents and celebrities, and even had several baseball cards made. He has faded away from the limelight, but now lives life on the run, in constant fear that Wade Boggs is stalking him.
Cal Ripken Jr. a class act all the way, breaks Lou Gehrig's ironman record of 2,130 consecutive games played. I'll never forget watching this game, it was truly a magical night. Cal didn't disappoint us, as he hit one into the stands.
Deacon Jones was a huge, scary, monster of a man on the field. He reminds me of Frankenstein. I would not want to see this man running towards me at full speed. If you get a chance, check out the book "Headslap". The book was named after the famous headslap move Deacon Jones would use to get past a player so he could get to the quarterback.
Upshaw really does resemble a mummy! This man may not look like much, but he was one of the most feared, vicious players in history. Richard"night train" Lane was once quoted as saying, "There's nothing I hate more than a first down".
Yes, I am very familiar with Brown. He was definitely one of the most feared players of all time. He would try to kill you. I am fascinated by these types of players. Good stuff🖒

What is an annoying fact about both Brown and Lane is Brown has ZERO Football cards and Lane’s first card was 1957 Topps, it is such a shame he didn’t have any earlier cards...

It's funny because I was just doing some research to see if Hardy Brown has any football cards, and discovered that he never appeared on a card. That is just crazy. Not one single card of him exists. That stinks.
Ronnie Lott was one of the most feared and hardest hitting players of all time. He injured one of his fingers during a game, and actually chose to have it amputated just so he would be able to play. True story.
