It's a "Reader's Digest" replica of an Athenian Owl tetradrachm, mass-produced in the mid-20th century and given away to promote one of their books on ancient Greece. I have seen many of them pop up on the forums over the years. They always come in the exact same style of ill-fitting capsule, so I assume that is how they were given away. The poor Owl has what I call a distinctive "Edvard Munch" appearance, with half-melted-looking eyes and wings that look like two planks of wood.
Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one. Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, "Meditations"
