I used mine to buy gold. I know some people are going to complain about it only being 5%, but you can't be sure there will be another one before the bucks expire and a 5% bonus is a 5% bonus.

@jmlanzaf I did note the "only" 5%.

I have also noted (received e-mails) some of the popular bullion dealers shifting some gold coins from the "bullion" to the "collectibles" category -- but I'm not certain that they didn't raise prices modestly in this process. They may have also only done that shift with some of the older and less popular gold coins. Gold is gold, but free lunch is hard to get too.

P.S. I did receive the offer. My quarterly eBay Bucks were the smallest in over a year, and already spent.

It's always only for select people. I got it on both my accounts this time. But the last couple I didn't get at all.

Ah, that clears it up. I didn’t see anything in the rules other than they’d send special offers at times. Sounded like it was more widespread than it really is.

I did sign up for offers. Of course all I get are 3-6 emails a day about things I’ve looked at....
