1978 D Nickel clipped planchet?

    The clipped surface looks like it might be a cut and tear surface and not ground or abraided. You might have something

    Error coins are a niche market. Check sold auctions for a general idea of what someone has bought a similar one for.

    I seen online for clipped planchets. None for a Denver! :)

    Absolutely genuine mint error, that’s a nice pull from circulation. Worth about $3-5 unless you can find some on who needs it for a date set.
