Their selling options are sure varied. Outright sell, auction, or consignment.
Most of the bases covered.
Have you ever done any or all and, if so, how was the comparison between DLRC and other venues?
Auction or otherwise?
PM if you don't want to state on open forum.
Thanks.

I consigned a few coins successfully to DLRC when John F. was at the helm. It has been a while though.
Ask for Jason if he is still there. Good guy that is easy to work with.
Great questions!
Feel free to call me at any time and I'm happy to chat with you.
757-962-7502. Or you can speak with Jason or Matt as well, they are great at explaining the process.
The main thing that we can offer to you is flexibility. If you need to get your coins sold quickly, while maximizing your return, we can do that. If you don't trust No Reserve Auctions (You Probably Shouldn't!), we'll make a guarantee on every coin. We do our best to understand the needs of each individual collector and will do our best to make the program work best for you.
As many dealers can tell you, we're one of the most active coin buyers in the market and we have a need for almost all types of coins, so we're not afraid to make an offer. But if it's something that we think would work better on consignment, or something that might be fitting to present to collectors, we have the best tool to do it in the quickest and most efficient amount of time.
I'm happy to speak with you or email with you, just let me know what works best for you.
Thanks,
John Brush

I've only had good experiences with DLRC, mostly as a buyer but often selling at shows.
Years ago I bought an NGC-graded 1804 large cent. Turned out to be counterfeit. DLRC stepped up immediately and offered a full refund even though I'd cracked-out the coin. NGC was right behind them, FWIW.
Lance.
Gotta admire when someone can admit a mistake and then take steps to correct their error.
Just curious; who caught that it was counterfeit?

Thanks John @JBatDavidLawrence for the response here.

I agree with Ikeigwin. Nothing but good experiences with DLRC myself.
sold some coins outright to David Lawrence---fair price and super quick payment.
DLRC is all class.
Dave
Yes, I sold a few coins outright to DLRC. Pretty smooth transaction. Same as buying from them.

I’ve sold them hundreds of coins in a dozen or so transactions and always felt that the prices were fair and the process was painless.
I have never sold through David Lawrence but I’ve sure bought a few Stellar coins from them.
I don't like dealers so I send my dups there when I upgrade.
DLRC offers a fair price and quick service.
I sometimes buy there also & have always been happy.
His pictures are accurate. He doesn't do that hocus-focus BS.
My Saint Set
I had a positive buying experience DLRC just a couple of weeks ago. I would recommend them.
Same here, i'm always buying and DLRC has sold me some beauties.
DLRC is o.k. There is always the potential for a problem in any business transaction. Human error, etc. DLRC is as good as it gets. Don't worry.
I've bought some great coins from DLRC and I'll always remember this article!

lmao. How come DLRC isn't considered a "dealer"?
I have bought many coins from DLRC since 2006. Never any problems, and very easy to contact a representative when a question arises. Always friendly and acomodating. Free shipping, and in my experience, the purchased coin is mailed out the same day payment is received.
I have never sold to them, but they would definitely be tops on my list if I ever decided to do so.
DLRC is great!
I've bought a few nice pieces from them at shows. No probs. Nice people.

I just bought a 1799 F12 $1 from them today. can’t wait to see it. My first draped bust dollar.

.
DLRC has been great for years.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Bought a few coins from them over the years. Always first class treatment
I have used them multiple times for selling including a very large deal earlier this year. I was VERY happy with the deal and how easy they made it for me and would happily do it again
@Conder101, ATS. I wish he were still with us.
Lance.
I have bought from them about a half-dozen times but never sold. I paid up but I was very pleased. I'm sure the consignor was happy, too.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

If I recall, he got caught in one of the "emotional" purges.....he didn't say anything bad, and nothing that should have been interpreted as bad, but he posted at a time that things were really hot.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
It's been about a year since I sold to them but it was quick, easy and fair. They even paid for the shipping and insurance. Maybe that was because the deal was ~80k? They paid VIA a funds transfer, so payment was quick too.
My only knock on DLRC is they can be slow on their communications. e.g. I'm "currently" working a deal with them and have been waiting for about 10 days now for their next response. (Yes, I know I could call but email/detail is really needed on this one) I suspect the FUN show slowed them down a bit so hopefully I'll hear back in the next few days.
Hey CCGGG,
Shoot me a PM or an email directly at john@davidlawrence.com. I'll get to the bottom of it and will get you an answer immediately.
Thanks,
John

One of my favorite things about buying that coin has never been mentioned.
Where was I when I convinced Mr. Hansen to bid on this coin?
I was at Disneyland and had just gotten off of the Lightning McQueen Ride with my oldest son...I guess that the place truly is Magical?

Done, email sent... And Thanks
I was involved with a strange circumstance one year at an ANA show that concerned a particular coin, another dealer, and DLRC. I won't go into specifics, but the ethics that DLRC exhibited in that instance raised their stock in my eyes considerably. They went out of their way to do the right thing and it took a little work on their part.
John, thanks for your quick and professional response(s) to working this phase of our deal today. It is very much appreciated....
I've sold to them at shows for decades always smooth as butter.
John, thanks for your quick followup. The entire process, from your initial ballpark offer, to shipping, to final/firm offer, to actual payment in my hand was handled quickly, fairly and professionally.
"I'll be back"
Totally appreciate the positiveness of this thread. Makes me want to pull up DLRC and see what I might need.
