Funny thing is, he won't even be giving up his allowance. He'll still get a nice income from his dad, just not directly from the government.
I just see glimpses of this and from what I gathered she kinda wrecked her family relationships, and is doing the same with his family.
I wonder why he wants to get away from the rest of the family?
