FS: 1824 O.106 Capped Bust Half PCGS AU55 - Very tough coin in AU - Condition Census!
I am selling my 1824 O.106 PCGS AU55. It is an R3 but in choice AU it is much tougher, likely an R4+ if not higher.
According to the current Auction Mail Bid Prices Realized (AMBPR) for Capped Bust Halves, the O.106 in AU55 is at the lower end of the condition census. I believe this die marriage is very underrated, especially in grades above XF. Check the auction records. There have been very few in AU that have sold.
It has light orange like toning on the obverse with some on the reverse as well, beautiful blue around parts of the edges on both sides, very nice luster for the grade, and excellent surfaces. The hair and central obverse has a mushy strike but that is typical of the die marriage.
Overall, a condition census, very tough coin in choice AU with nice eye appeal!
