Just a memorable experience

Growing up in Queens, and being so close with the events that took place on 9/11/01, it always feels like yesterday. Today my wife and I took our 10 year old daughter to the World Trade Center, to visit the memorials and of course the Museum. This was our daughters birthday request. She wanted to visit the museum, see 1 World Trade, and have dinner, with just my wife and I. My 7 year old boy, and 4 year old daughter stood back at home with my in laws. I’ve been Downtown many times since 9/11, but not to the site. It’s amazing. The job they did to educate, and truly “never forget” was amazing. I highly recommend anyone and everyone get down there. I was 21, fresh out of school when 9/11 happened, and I turn 40 this month, but still Brought back some major emotion, like the day it happened. Will never forget how life here changed after that day.

As you finish all the exhibits, and head towards the exit, another emotional reminder stood behind the glass, and once again, took all that sadness built up inside, and turned it into a smile. Most of you wont need a caption for the photo...

That was a heartbreaking day. I'll never forget seeing it on TV as it happened. I've seen the memorial on a documentary, and they did a beautiful job honoring the people who lost their lives that day.

Tremendous job. I remember everything vividly, but my 10 year old daughter wasn’t around back then. The impact it made on her is what speaks the loudest.
