Anybody here an eBay Guaranteed Delivery expert?

How do you stop eBay from adding "Guaranteed Delivery" to your listings? It's becoming a weekly hassle, explaining to buyers that the post office doesn't guarantee delivery dates for first class mail. I have "Guaranteed Delivery" set to "No" in my preferences (see below) but it still gets added to my listings.

When you miss too many delivery dates they take you out of the program. You aren't guarantying anything. If the shipment is late eBay gives the buyer a credit of $5.

I receive late deliveries weekly. eBay has never given me a $5 credit.

I just got and used a $5 credit, $13 coin (free shipping) arrived today and was supposed to last Friday. eBay covers the guaranteed delivery but seller needs tracking.

Interesting. I have a coin from baypreciousmetals says guaranteed delivery tomorrow but they haven't even shipped yet. Obviously won't be here tomorrow. This happens frequently, how do I collect?

Add shipping charge even $1 stops it. Guaranteed delivery is only on free delivery

There is a button in your purchase history next to the item where you can claim the credit.

The buyer has to claim the credit for late delivery. If you ship too many items without tracking eBay will take you out of the program. I believe the program is only on listings with same day or next day handling time

If the item you bought with Guaranteed Delivery doesn’t arrive on time, we’ll make it right.
To let us know, you can either:
Find the Guaranteed Delivery information in your order emails and click let us know. Then click Report delivery issue on the order details page.
Find your item in My eBay under Purchase History and select Report late delivery from the More actions drop-down menu.

I'm not sure how I'm not below that level already. I have been focusing on clearing out the cheaper stuff that's been accumulating and I doubt there's tracking on even 5% of my shipments lately. I do offer next day shipping, so it looks like switching to 2 day is the ticket for getting rid of the silly guarantee.

I have an item pending that is 4 days past guaranteed delivery. I went to the item, selected other, clicked on report late delivery and it gave me the option to select $5 credit. Never knew you could do this. Thanks
