Shevlin So-Called Dollar New Website Updated
I used to post on Jeff Shevlin's old So-Called Dollar Website, and I recently discovered he has a new updated website.
http://www.so-calleddollar.com
It's actually fairly nice with new search features (see sitemap at bottom right of webpage), new images on new expositions, and the discussion sections (broken down by HK- number) has been salvaged from the old website and edited/updated. It's clearly a work in progress, but I am finding it to be a good resource as I explore unlisted so-called dollars and new lines of collecting. I contacted Jeff and he told me that there are many new features coming to the site in time including new discussion sections on the 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair as well as the 1935-36 San Diego Expo So-Called Dollars. If you haven't visited his site lately, it might be worth a look if collecting so-called dollars are your thing.
In time i'll try to post links on past PCGS US Coin Forum posts to updated information on his site that might be of interest.

This is great! More information is better and I like seeing all the medals listed together. I actually picked up the 2 high relief and 1 low relief $1,000,000 Dollar exhibit medals for fun. The high reliefs are in the thick ATS slabs.
I noticed he doesn't have the 1962 Seattle Expo trade dollar token listed but I think trade tokens become important for expos and fairs in the 1960s because so many of them had commemorative trade tokens instead of (or in addition to) medals. I have a copper-nickel version of this and wonder how rare it is. I've only seen these in brass (which are very common) other than the single Cu-Ni specimen I have.

Thanks for the update. This is a great source for So-Called Dollar info. I got his books to check before buying any. So-Called Dollars are a fascinating and endless collecting topic with spectacular metalic art.
Thanks, great site with discussion on obscure topics including medals from the Spokane Worlds Fair.
