Hi,
I am doing some research for a piece on the 1979 Topps baseball comics set. Anybody reading this collect those?
If so, and if you have the time and interest to be interviewed about the set in the next few days, please send me a note.
Thanks to all who have helped with other articles.
Happy New Year.
Doug K.
Enjoy the hobby.

I have a few sets. I guess you could say I collect them, but a 33 card set issued only one year and not hard to find does not provide a lot of material to discuss. I like the issue itself (love oddball), the design and the variety of color used and was especially happy to learn that Garvey was part of the set when I was a kid.
I still have my PSA-graded example. Unfortunately, PSA no longer grades this issue, and I'm not sure why.
I was one of the first to submit these to PSA for grading and they did grade them at first. Once my submissions started getting rejected, I inquired and they said that since the wrappers were so fragile, PSA couldn't insure that they would stay protected inside the holder. I still have an unopened box as well.
