PL and DMPL Morgans

If you submit Morgans to PCGS that you believe are PL, do you have to request them to be graded towards that or do they automatically give that designation themselves? I hope this makes sense.

It's automatic. You can't explicitly request any designations.
Thanks, I wasn't sure if PL is considered a Variety or not. Am I correct that you have to pay more, and ask specifically for variety designations?

PL/DMPL are assigned as part of the grading process.
Some major varieties are supposed to be picked up by the graders, but can be missed if not specified. Examples include the 1946 half dollar DDR and the 1890-CC dollar Tailbar.
