Would doubling lower a coins grade?
I have several 1962 D that would make MS68 or higher for top grade.
One if them is an error with Doubling never before seen....
Curious if it would effect its grade... I know it will help its value,,,,,

Very simple site.
Wow, so many views with no help.
Stisk, stisk.
MS68 is a grade that only exists in top TPG plastic. Try and sell a raw coin as MS68 and see what happens. If your coins are not slabbed they are not MS68 so far as the "market" is concerned. They probably also need "stickers".
Would make MS68? Sure would love to see pics of these Gems.

MS68? Really? Send them in and share the results.

Doubling will not lower a coins grade.
MS 68 in your own opinion....
Being able to determine if a TPG will give your coin an ultra high grade takes a lot of experience. You really need to completely understand the intricacies of the series and specific date, as well as look at lots and lots of high grade coins.
As other knowledgeable members have said, if it isn't slabbed, it's just your opinion. If you feel confident in your ability to grade coins in the MS68 range, spend the $50+ and send it in. However, you could always post a clear, cropped photo of both sides and get the opinions of members here. Plus it would be nice to see this "never before seen" doubling
MS 68 or better... I would have them graded.
@LATHYRUS21
Self graded MS68 1962-D what?
Mint errors are fine; but damage is not.
Pics please. Pre- and post-submissions, too.
Photos of the doubling would be very helpful,
but without seeing them, I'm willing to bet that
whatever denomination the 1962-D coin is,
it's mechanical or ejection doubling.

I appreciate the str8t answer.
Thank you.
I did not offer a coin for sale at any grade in this discussion,
I only asked one simple question and ended that with an opinionated statement of my own that did not require condescending opinions....
And seeing how bored most of you are and feel the need to be so judgmental I'll throw this coin out there just to get your opinions.... This is not a coin im submitting,
Just your opinions please if you have nothing better to do.
What Grade would you feel this would make?
Better yet, the 63D I did submit that was returned non-gradable due to a spot removed by PCGS
Had that coin not had the spot on the reverse, what grade would that have made..
The other two having been the first of three coin submissions I've ever sent I was merely shooting for ms-67 and got ms66 on both, I'd say that makes my opinion pretty darn good having never submitted any coins before.
Mmmmm much anger in this one mmmm

I am having a herd time following what is going on here.
Mechanical doubling will not affect its grade or its value. Legitimate errors do not generally affect the grade at all.
Picture?
+1
To paraphrase an old wise man: "Pictures? We don't need no steenkin' pictures!"
Looks nice, probably 66 or 67 red based on slightly blurry photos. The reverse weakness is very distracting though.
If you think it will make 67 then go for it.
