1983 Lincoln cent Die crack?

in Q & A Forum
Hello everyone, I've only been collecting for a couple years, I have a couple pennies with die cracks but this one looks different. Can anyone tell me what this is, it doesn't look like a scratch to me, maybe a die crack or what some refer to as a spear.

This is a bubble in the copper plating.
See the other small bubbles in the field.
These linear plating blisters are common in cents from 80s.
Welcome to the forum!
As mentioned it is a plating problem and is common. Here is another example.
Thank you for your comments, I think it's interesting anyway. And I learned something new too.

Plating blisters.
Agreed - this is almost definitely a plating blister. While we have seen the denticles sometimes affected by the bullion value, it's great to see numismatic oddities like this.
