well...I'm late to this party.......Beautiful trees and homes folks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL of you !!!
i was very simple this year,A ceramic tree with Mr.and Mrs. Claus my Mother made in 1986 with several wreaths around the house, 2.5 watt light bulb, no outside lights
My Grandmother's sister (a nun) made one for her that was very similar in the 1950's. The nuns made them to sell. I broke it in the 1990's during a move.
Yah, if I put a Peloton under the tree for my wife she would not be happy like the people in those commercials. Her response would not be one full of joy. It would most likely be more like; "Are you saying, I'm fat?" and then I'd likely get a shot below the belt.
I spent part of December in China this year. Interestingly, there are lots of Christmas trees around. Two more unusual ones are below. The first is outside a shopping mall and the second is in a pizza shop.
I enjoyed learning about the origins of Christmas through its mainstream adoption in the US in the following History Channel special below. I'm amazed by how far Christmas has continued spread!

My Mother started this year with a 'tree' very similar to @Rosco - but my sister had something better and more meaningful after the first week.

I have one of those, too, but with fewer branches. Do you have a blue blanket for a tree skirt?

Ours is a volunteer I found in the yard as a seedling few years ago. It is in a pot and will go back outside tomorrow.

What a great idea. Start when a child is born with a photo together each year and watch them each get bigger each year until...
Get them down quick. Bad luck to have a Christmas tree up after New Year. Old superstition.
No wonder things rarely go my way. 😉
Our tradition has always been to leave the tree up until the Epiphany, January 6th.

My Washington Quarter Registry set...in progress
The office tree is still up but the decorations are removed.
Ours is still up, and it's still December...
But soon will be coming down, Happy New Year! And remember, hindsight is 2020.
