I'm pretty sure Wayne Gross was only featured in the 1979 Topps set, not the OPC set. Good thinking, though!

Pack 1 brings a Ryan. Bummer on the centering but still great to see.

Love that classic OPC rough cut.

Centering is very tough with this set. Cards are undervalued in higher grade considering the degree of difficulty, imo.

If you can pull an Ozzie centered like that Zachry, you will be in business, Steve!

    Good luck!

About 1/2 way through. No Ozzie yet. As expected, significant OC issues throughout.

The Mollie is sharp except the gum on back. Will work the freezer later. The Bird Fidrych is nice too. Thurm’s are OC. Seaver has corner dings.

Last pic before halftime of the rip. Back bit later to finish the box.

A shot of 3 awesome 1970s outfielders. All have corner issues but nice cards. Parker deserves to be in Canton also.

    Nice star power!

And good centering on those, too.

On the 1st day of a Christmas my true love gave to me, 1 OC Ozzie.

This has 9 OC written all over it. Sharp corners. Almost no tough cut.

One of the last few packs has Eddie Murray front and Jim Rice on back. Will have to send that one in.

Tim - what grade do you see here?

Very nice! And definitely worth subbing!

    I see a PSA 8.

    Steve,

Guess you made your decision! :)
And some of those are furry edges, let alone hairy lol

    Steve,

I think that Ozzie is a Miscut unfortunately. You can see a part of the border from the next card up on the sheet.
In contrast, the Yaz, Rice, and Parker are stunning! Drago looks like a 10!

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments which is half the fun of the rip.!!

Dan, yes I always say OC when it’s MC - lol but it’s def MC. Too bad as Few of the corners are razors.

Tim, thanks for the 8. Does the card bleeding through the wrapper keep it from a 9? Or the centering of the wrapper? As an 8 may not be worth the submission price. Plus the m so impatient.

If anyone needs any 79 OPCs gratis, please let me know - happy to share.

I see a bit of wear on one of the corners in the pics. If that is not wear, it may have a shot at a 9. I wouldn't submit it by itself, but it's worth submitting with othes to lighten the shipping cost per pack. Even a PSA 8 would be worth about $100 for that pack.
