    But, yes, I do believe his prime is over and yes, I do believe he's on steroids. Everytime you turn around the guy is getting injured. And, their little petty injuries as well...and you can't tell me that's just a coincedence...

    With the Mariners (10 seasons)
    Games - 1535
    Hits - 1742
    At-Bats - 5832
    Average - .299
    Homeruns - 398
    RBI's - 1152
    Runs - 1063
    Doubles - 320
    Triples - 30
    Strikeouts - 984
    Stolen Bases - 167
    Slugging % - .575
    On-base % - .382
    At-bats per Homerun - 14.7

    To date with the Reds (2 1/2 seasons)
    Games - 282
    Hits - 263
    At-bats - 958
    Average - .275
    Homeruns - 64
    RBI's - 187
    Runs - 163
    Doubles - 46
    Triples - 5
    Strikeouts - 202
    Stolen Bases - 8
    Slugging % - .488
    On-base % - .371
    At-bats per Homerun - 15.0

    And, yes he has been injured quite a lot, and that's because he uses steroids...and you do the math on the averages and it's obviously dropped off. 10 years is different than 2 1/2 but averages are averages...and numbers don't lie. You can't even bump into the guy without him screaming of some lame and petty injury. He won't be the same player he was 3-4 years ago. His prime is over...nuff said.

    Although he does have at least 6-7 more years assuming he gets rid of his recent injury bug.

    Not that this is a worth while comparison, but Barry Bonds had some of his best years in his mid to late 30's.

    Just cause he gets injured quite a bit doesnt mean he's on steroids....He ACTUALLY could be getting hurt.....at least look at ALL the options before saying something that could be wrong....oh and by the way i am still interested in your griffeys.....what im doing is going through all of mine and seeing what i do not have....so please be patient...I will have a list for you.....

    Yeah, but it's just a huge coincedence and the thought does come up...and a lot of people would echo that...

    And, it's cool...just lmk because I want to dish these out to a Griffey fan since I no longer collect baseball much anymore...image

    yeah the thought does come up but seriously, does he actually have a body that seems to have been on steroids?...who knows maybe he is....maybe he's not.....the MLB commitee really should check players for steroids.....also.....Every player has a few bad seasons.....we have to keep this in mind....maybe his are consecutively? maybe he's still not use to cincinatti, although he should be by now......the stats you should above arent really all that bad for 2 seasons especially when he's starting in a new place.....


    I dont want to praise griffey but i dont want to put him down either....we'll have to wait and see when they check for steroids or if He gets back into the game....

    I've heard that the Orioles are interested in obtaining Griffey. But, I would steer clear of Griffey. He whined until he got out of Seattle for his home town of Cinci. Once he got to Cinci, he whined about not getting his a$$ kissed by the fans.

    He has had two fairly below average (for him) seasons in a row. Granted, he has had a number of injuries, but the rumors are that he is not training very well in the off-season and that's what is causing the injuries. I'ver read reports out of Cinci, that he is not willing to work hard enough as his body is getting older to keep up to the elite player status he once had on natural talent alone. He has become a clubhouse cancer too, in Cinci. Not the kind of a guy to rebuild a team around....just my opinion.
