Anyone looking for a piggyback ride? - CLOSED
I’m looking for 1 – 5 (a few more if it becomes necessary) people with about 150 to 175 cards in total (not each) to add to mine for a bulk sub. I'd like to have 25 cards be the minimum per person, so 3 or 4 people with 40 to 60 cards each would be ideal. Trust should always be a concern on the internet, so I will say that I’ve been a part of this community for almost 13 years now with many BST transactions (both buying and selling) without ever having an incident. I'm sure I can get some solid members here to vouch for me if necessary.
I would like to have the cards right after the New Year since I will still be on vacation, and can get right to work on this large submission. Sooner is OK, but if you can’t have your cards in the mail to me by Friday December 27th, then please hold off on responding to this submission. If that deadline causes me not to reach 175 cards then I may try again in the coming months.
For full transparency I would like commitments given to me here in the thread with the amount of cards you have instead of by PM, and I will close this when I get to 175 cards.
The pricing will be $8.50 per card as per PSA’s 2020 bulk pricing for 200 cards submitted (goes into effect on January 1, 2020) + $0.25 per card for me to get the cards securely and insured to PSA + $0.50 per card to pay the PSA return postage and insurance back to me + what it actually costs me to get your cards back to you once they’re graded.
I don’t think I will need any money up front because I believe they won’t charge my credit card until the submission pops, and I won’t know that last part of the pricing (returning your cards to you) until I get your cards boxed up and weighed, and you’d have to tell me how much insurance to place on the package back to you.
So it looks like this - $8.50 + $0.25+ $0.50 = $9.25 per card + actual shipping back to you.
When it is time to pay I would like paypal friends and family, but I understand that some may want to pay with good and service, so for that you would have to add 3% to cover those fees.
For this PSA’s bulk service level the declared value of any 1 card cannot exceed $100, and the “estimated” turnaround time is 85 business day.
Please make sure I have all the info on every card you send me. I’ll need the set name, the year, the card number, the player (or card name), and most importantly, the variety (if applicable). This is very important for the research and ID stage of the submission.
Either email a spreadsheet to me, or include it in the package to me, but I need that info so that when we get to the research and ID phase of the submission I can check to make sure that no errors were made by PSA when they logged in our cards.
Sorry for the long read but I like to be thorough, and hopefully this will answer most questions. If I left anything out that you need to know, please reach out to me.
Happy holidays, Nick

Just what I've been looking for. Mark me down for 40 cards.
I have 36 ready to go, so put me in for that, but I might add a few others if I have some candidates.
Thanks.
Need some 2007 A&G Regular Back Mini's PM if you have any and I will send my needs list.
Hi Nick - I will up for 40 cards (and can add a few more if needed).
Thanks!
Greg

Thanks to those that have responded so far. Looks like 25 more cards and I can close this out. I will give it until Tomorrow (Sunday) night at 8PM EST and if no one else responds I will add 25 "squeakers" of my own.
Nick,
Please count me in for 25.
Thanks a ton!
Tom
Thanks guys. Get those cards out to me and Merry Christmas.
Cards are on the way to PSA. I will update the thread when we are logged in.
Nice! Step one down
Thanks Nick, Hope the progress is swift!

Just to give this thread some closure, the submission popped on August 14th, and all cards have been returned to the participants.
From start to finish it was a great group of guys to work with, and the only sour note was that, overall, the grading was pretty harsh for all of us.
I hope to do another submission in the October/November area, so stay tuned.
Nick
Thanks for all of your efforts Nick! It wasn't easy with the delays due to the shutdown, but you ran a top-notch group sub.

I would also like to thank Nick for his efforts on this break. Although he didn't train the graders as I would have hoped, everything else was super smooth .
Nick kept us up to date throughout the whole process. Would definitely participate again.
On a side note, makes me feel better knowing I was not the only one who was let’s say miffed at the grades.
