What is this error?

I know this die was deteriorated, and I've never seen this before. The top of the"in" is
Incuse in the rim, and continues down to the face of the coin. Does anyone have a name for this error?

Worn Dies. Fairly common.
Yes.
Especially on1983/84.
Most other dates too but I think in 83/84 the mint was still figuring out the zinc plating cents "on the fly."
A lot of 1986 or 89 cents look like that.
