Been looking for heavily circulated one, missed one on ebay but otherwise don't see many?

There are some including a PCGS G4. What grades are you looking for? Any specific dates?

No specific date just a money thing so no graded and must have readable date is about only requirement. And I did post a WTB on BST. I guess I should say very very worn readable date.

I own a PCGS G6 1846. Nice, lightly cleaned and retoned coin with no significant marks. I bought it for its nice look for a well worn SLD. Can't find pics of it to post here, though.

    Here's a nice looking PO1...

Many of them were used as cash reserves by banks during the period of their issue. As a result, many saw only limited actual circulation.

Or they got exported and melted down. They really didn't see a lot of circulation in the United States.

    Good points made above.

I’ll also add that well worn, nearly slick Barber and walking liberty halves are abundant. Not so for any of the silver dollars.
Were they too inconvenient to carry, and competed with paper currency, loitering in bank vaults all over the country?

I just checked eBay.... there are 13 available in G-VG that are slabbed. They are asking roughly 300+ for them. I would recommend saving a little bit more and buying a nice VF or low grade XF. They can be had for just a couple hundred dollars more... Good luck

Thanks for the comments, I am working on a circulated US type set and I know money is the issue. I also do like well circulated coins. But having said that being a retired disabled vet does keep me in a very restricted range.
