I paid $200 for this card maybe a year and a half ago. Now I see a 9 sold for over $500 and one is up on eBay for $699. More of the Ted Simmons syndrome?

That's a high end 9.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Evans is one of my top 2 favorite players of all time, but I’m not a big fan of multi player RCs. Much prefer his card from the next year. With that said, yours is a tremendous example.

I feel one day Dwight will get the respect he deserves and get inducted. I think others feel the same, which is driving up prices.

I also find having the key Rookie in the middle section adds to the eye appeal. Also thought the Schmidt looks lopsided!
