An original photograph of Mickey Mantle has sold at auction for $375,000. It is a photo of him that was used to make his famous 1952 Topps card. Only three known copies of the photo exist. Pretty fascinating stuff.

I just right-clicked and saved and now I own a photo of the photo (maybe not as cool as the original, but it fits my budget lol)

Very cool to see what the entire photograph looks like.
Oh yes, they love Mickey Mantle. Collectors go crazy for his stuff. He's definately one of the most collected athletes of all time, if not the most.
I also like the way those who did the colorization kept the nuances of the B&W photo intact.
They could have easily "cleaned up" some of the shadows, etc, but they kept it all in there on the baseball card.
Kudos to Topps for a job well done!
