Auction Realized Accuracy Question

Hi all, have been using this tool recently to estimate the value of some cards.

A couple questions, it seems like the value estimate per grade captures/includes cards with qualifiers but also HUGE outlier prices (which may be autographed cards?). For example, I was searching "1984 Donruss PSA 9 Don Mattingly" and it had a few "oc" cards sold in the $20 range but it also had another nearly 1k sale, not sure what the heck that sale was, maybe an autograph?

Anyway, do you feel like these two outlier factors both low and high effectively cancel each other out on average and that the prices are pretty close to the real thing?

On this note, is there an easy way (other than VCP) to research your own card via PSA serial number to find out how much you bought it for? I know PWCC has a market sale but it looks like you would have to wade through several dozen/hundred individual listings to find YOUR particular card, especially if you can't remember when it was bought exactly.

Also, when I search, sometimes I get a blue bar click on for "show price chart" which shows the peaks and valley's of a card through the years, but sometimes it doesn't pop up. How do you find the longer view of price over the years when the blue bar DOES NOT pop up?

Thank you in advance for your responses, I always get some helpful ones.

I don’t find the averages or charts helpful at all for the reasons you state. I look at recently completed auctions, and find specific examples I think might be relevant to my collection and/or possible purchase.
