I deleted all the Mint State Ikes from my LowBall Registry and dropped from 3rd place to sixth.

It has always bugged me mint state coins are allowed in the Low Ball Registries. I doesn't make sense. Yet, as I was missing five circulated Ikes from my set I added the lowest mint state Ikes I could find (like a 1974 MS61). I was always kind of bothered by this and tonight decided to simply remove these uncirculated coins from my Low Ball set and let the rankings be as they will be. The good news is I do have two (of the five I am now missing) ready for submission so I will be back on track to regaining the number 3 position soon, I hope.
Does anyone else see the logic in this or should I just "play the game"?

apparently one is rewarded for participation, no matter how poorly done
Regardless of how logical (or illogical) it is, doesn’t it come down to whether/how much you enjoy it? Are you having fun?

Yes, I enjoy the Registry.
Sometimes though it is like a brand new box of Lucky Charms. Tough to get the inner plastic opened without ripping it to shreds, yet the delightful sugary goodness is worth it.

Unlike you, I don't worry much at all about ripping the inner plastic to shreds. In fact, it can be a lot of fun! The cereal tastes the same, either way and there are other ways to keep it fresh.

Lowball sets should be treated like an Everyman set.
