I knew I had seen radial polishing of dies but could not find an example.
I found this one going through some old stuff I saved years ago.
As you can see it is still in the mint set packaging so you know I have not tampered with it.
If better photos are needed I can remove it for clearer photos but it is easy to see now.
I don't think the US Mint was using a screw press in 1981 and these are not die flow lines, it is die polishing.
