Hi!
How do you sealed box collectors out there keep your boxes safe for long term storage?
Thank you!

You probably need a virtual vacuum to lessen any natural aging, but I would at least keep it in a dry area inside of a bin to protect from damage and also try to keep it near room temperature.
If it's not out on a shelf making me happy, it's in a plastic tub. Indoors, where the temperature is nice and steady. But plastic, not a cardboard box, so when the kids spill their milk walking through the house it doesn't seep along the floor, or fall down on the lid. Nice thing about plastic tubs also is that you can't stack the boxes more than about 3 high. When you stack boxes on a shelving unit and get them too high, the sides of the boxes start collapsing and you end up with boxes that don't look nice and fresh. If you do display them or stack them on shelves, I wouldn't go more than about 3 high.

My Joe Louis cards have their own room. I like to keep the temperature in their room perfect, not too hot, not too cold, just perfect.
All of my graded cards are indoors put in the cardboard PSA boxes (less than ideal). I would love to upgrade to nice wooden boxes that hold 50-60. The other 400,000 cards and unopened boxes/cases are in the garage suspended from the ceiling. I also keep the majority of my stuff in plastic boxes, but I have a ton in monster boxes that are susceptible to bugs and the like. I use moth balls and cedar balls along with anti-desiccant, but not sure this is doing real good. Maybe it's time to sell/downsize, at least stop buying.
To be honest, no direction, but...

Look no further than a fellow board member. I have 2 "Mike originals". They are not only useful but real works of art. He is a true artist at his craft. I think he is settling in to his new place on the mainland after retiring from the military this year but I'm looking forward to more posts from his amazing work. Check it out here...

Ah yes, those boxes were beautiful. I remember seeing them some 7-8 years ago on the boards. I'll have to look into a deal on enough to hold the collection. He does beautiful work.

if you are talking about wax boxes--I have been collecting vintage boxes since early '80s. I always wrap them in bubble wrap and store in plastic bins. No I do not get to oogle them all day as they sit on the shelves--but they are a lot safer! And during the summer I keep a dehumidifier going. If they are less value--say $100 or less--I do not mind keping them on the shelf
Nothing crazy expensive here other than the 2000 Bowman football box. Question is how high can I go without any damage?? Everything sealed is FASC and the 89 Fleer is the error run.
I think the wampa is pissed he's not on the top shelf.
Three is my general rule, but adjust up and down slightly based on weight.
