1955 Clemente Rookie - how to submit qualifiers

I would like to submit by 1955 Roberto Clemente rookie that i purchased at the 1990 National Card show. Not intending to sell. Crease, but question relates to MC v. OC. In looking at other Clemente PSA graded, PSA doesn't seem consistent with the MC designation. Some better than mine have been MC. Others like mine are not shown as MC or OC. As i understand, I can drop grades if don't want the OC qualifier, but if crease takes in down to PSA 2-3 and OC, then maybe i don't even want to grade. Thoughts on if to submit and how to submit? Ask for no qualifiers? Thanks.

From my understanding you can't request no "MC" qualifier. If they consider it MC then that's what will be on the flip. Personally, I would sub it and not worry about the qualifiers and have it in a holder and enjoy it being in your collection. Worst case you have the added projection of it being in a slab. Even if it's mc, it's still a really nice looking card!!
If you request no qualifiers, miscut cards will be returned unslabbed with an N8: miscut designation.
100% agree
There are lots of cards out there that, due to likely grade, resale value, etc., it makes no sense to send in. A 55 Clemente in not one of them. You'll enjoy the protection and have the authentication if you change your mind about selling down the road. I, too, have many "iconic" cards in less than pristine condition and no plans to sell. The way I look at it, my heirs know if I submitted (or bought it graded) that's all they need to know about which cards they need to focus on when cleaning up my stuff, and which cards they can give away or dump for whatever they get at the LCS.
Is MC mostly on top or bottom I would imagine? So you are saying Ernie is probably coming back to me unslabbed? Was submitted with no quals. Also, would you guys submit this Griese or not given the MC?
EDIT: nvm on Griese. I thought it was a higher value card. I believe I made the right choice by not submitting.
