Dodger infielder who slides into second, cleats high, has injured a couple of guys.

    Can't think of his name.

Ty Cobb did that all the time and should be added to the list.

when you get old you can watch a movie, and watch the same movie a month later, and it's like you've never seen it, except it seems familiar.

It's sort of funny that Judy Garland and Margaret Hamilton became good friends on the set. Garland stated that Hamilton treated her nicer than anyone else there, and the two remained friends throughout their lives.

    Pink Floyd fan?

If you answered “yes”, then you undoubtedly or perhaps unknowingly are a Wizard of Oz fan.

Yep, without question that one Pink Floyd soundtrack was coordinated to the Wizard of Oz movie.

I concur. Tony was a victim too of the guys stupidity.

I remember that at the time.
Word was that Stewart didn't exactly try to avoid hitting him.

Or are we saying the guy who got hit was the dirtiest athlete?

Because I can definitely vote "YES" there.

    In more ways than one.

The audio heard Tony rev his engine ....but the kid that got hit was found to have THC in his system so it got thrown out of court and the family then went after Tony in civil court... you cant possibly prove something in that environment....its a race for the love of Pete.

I think both of these facts are irrelevant.

RevIng the engine could be the same as turning the wheel into the slide while hydroplaning.
And well, pot is pot. You don't see Willie Nelson or Snoop Dog out in the middle of I-95.

@artee ... In the court of law THC alleviates Tony Stewart from criminal repercussions ... In civil court it is a mitigating factor.

No, I get it. I'm saying that to me, even if i thought Tony was in the wrong and he blatantly hit the guy on purpose, just because he had pot in his system that that should not let Tony off the hook. Just like the audio of him reving his engine does not mean he automatically went gunning for the guy. Neither of these are smoking guns for who was truly at fault. Morally or "legally".

They both will have to make peace with themselves and their god. One just had to do it a little quicker than the other.

  • @artee.... too funny .... I don't think he can make that mistake again...

I remember when Dennis Rodman kicked a cameraman in the coconuts. That was pretty dirty.

There was only so much reaction time anyone could have had. And there was only so many places he could have steered on a wet drifting track. Furthermore, with a dirt track, low vis. and well, an idiot on the track running FROM BEHIND his vehicle, in a black suit AT NIGHT towards him all while trying to process the entire series of events while navigating thru a scrap yard, well.

Considering all of the above and I had no other option, meaning this guy left his vehicle, wants to play chicken, there's debris, dirt, gas, oil and all sorts of other factors threatening my safety (above and beyond this psycho) and it's basically a "him or me" split second decision? You best believe it's gonna be "him" every time.

One thing's for sure. That guy won't make that mistake again.

This about the best description that could be made about the conditions for this accident.

Heck, I'd let him kick me in the coconuts for 200k. Anyone know how I can get in touch with Dennis?
