1949/1950 Sohio Cleveland Browns cards (approx 8"x 10-1/2"

Anybody have any experience with these cards? ...Just picked up a 1950 Sohio Otto Graham (same exact picture/pose as his 1950 Bowman RC). I emailed PSA to see if they would grade it in one of the new super size holders, but they said basically "not familiar with the issue". Does anyone else have these?...there are some onEbay right now.....does SGC grade them?....Any knowledge is appreciated.

Pete

It's a shame, because they're beautiful cards. I don't understand why they won't grade them. Maybe if you pressure them enough, they will eventually grade them.

    Here you go:

Since they’re recognized by Beckett, PSA should have no problem grading them. There was also at least one card (Bill Willis) issued after the base set.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

You might have to locate a Standard Catalog or price guide that lists the set. Submit to PSA and see what they say.

    Good luck! :-)

I don’t see the ‘50 set up there.

  • I recently won a 1949 Sohio Bill Willis. Every checklist that I've found on the internet doesn't show Willis as part of the set. Does anyone why he isn't shown? Thanks, Tim

Assuming it was the one in BST's auction? I bid on it, too. I don't know if anyone knows for certain if this is the case or why, but the Willis appears to have been issued after the base set.

I was the winner of the BST auction. I was hoping to be able to have it slabbed and added to my PSA FB HOF collection.

  • Still wondering why the '49 set would be showing, but not the '50 set...
