Serious Question: Is anyone aware of any proposed coin designs in the 1800s...

whether created by the Mint or by a private party, which used the sun to represent the US Constitution? I have seen a hint of a reference to one such proposal in an 1855 letter. I’m curious if anyone might have a clue, before I run too far down this rabbit hole. Thanks.
