I think it will go up in value.

I've been a fan of his ever since he came up. He's won three batting titles in the last six years, and this was his ninth season (really eight seasons, since he only played in 57 games in his rookie year). He also has over 1,500 hits in those nine years (with four 200-hit seasons), and he's only 29 years old.

I'm a life-long Padres fan, and my favorite player since 1984, has been Tony Gwynn. If Jose Altuve can avoid the injuries that have affected him the last couple years, I see him potentially challenging Tony's eight batting titles (shared of course, with Honus Wagner).

On his way to a HOF career. I wonder how newer HOF Rookie cards will hold up in the future when their careers end. I think vintage will do okay, but the newer rookies could have much higher population numbers.

I agree with you! He’s just a little guy with a BIG bat and an energy that is contagious to his team. His homerun was epic! I think he’s on his way to a HOF career barring injury.

Not as much as the Rendon us8's and parallels are about to. :D

And then again about a month after the series is over.
