How to and with what household product? Can I put in heated water, not a boil, just a simmer?

That does not look like "soft stuff!" It has the color of active corrosion. Take a toothpick and touch the edge. If nothing comes off, it is "hard stuff."
OP had been “soft” banned... here we go again.
I can mark it with my finger nail. What would hot water do the physical coin?
Nail polish remover is the next step. Or, you can suspend it into hot boiling water w/baking soda.
Cool. I'm on it but no baking soda in house. I'll boil some water, and place in on a paper clip contoured to levitate the coin.
I'll post in appox. 1 hr.. Thanks , you really came through for me.
Hope your here at said time.

Sorry getting back so late with results. Notta, is the report.
Gained about two % into the image.
Still not enough to say difinatively anything.
Gonna get my nails done, lol, they keep scratching my coins.
Just wondering, why do you want to save this coin? Even without the corrosion it wouldn't be worth much.
Its the wondering that drives me to my loop.
Re-banned?
