Photoshop... you can see the remnants of the actual gasket prongs in the picture if you look closely.
I’ve had the opposite reaction with an APMEX picture where they had a quarter photoshopped to look very small in the holder. Before I caught on, I was wondering “why on earth would someone pay to put that in an oversized slab?”
Very interesting perspective. Looks like a half dollar in that shot. Here is a much different look in a previous shot at a different place. But definitely the same coin.

Why go through all the trouble of editing a pic like that. They have the closeups already, just post the unedited slab pics and you're done. They are supposed to have the reverse slab pic though per eBay's selling policy.
I guessed it was APMEX before opening it. They do that with stock photos.
However this note by them makes it confusing as to what you might actually receive:
"Photos in this listing may or may not be stock photos.
The photos are meant to be an indication of the product you will receive."
"To Be Esteemed Be Useful" - 1792 Birch Cent --- "I personally think we developed language because of our deep need to complain." - Lily Tomlin

Pulled out the pics:
Apmex has done the same to $2 1/2 gold coins too. Always throws me for a loop, and I have no idea what the point of doing it is.
I wouldn't trust anything with apmex! Nothing!
Clearly they pasted both the coin and the label into some template.
You can see the bar code on the label does not match the one in the template....
Nice filled upper loop of the "S" in "STATES".
I was wanting to see one of those "coasters" like the 1877 IHC or 09-S VDB.
